Join Katya at the Green Barn at Farrell’s Creek Farm for an afternoon of intuitive and creative mending. Learn how to approach mending practically and playfully in using everyday, easily accessible tools and materials to mend and adorn garments. No prior hand or machine sewing experience required. Bring a clean item in need of repair and any specific materials you wish to use. If you have sewing tools of your own (e.g., seam rippers, fabric or small scissors, pins, needles, thimbles, etc.) please bring them. All other tools and supplies are provided.

In this workshop we’ll learn how to hand stitch quilts on a mini scale. After we’ve made our micro quilts, we’ll turn them into bolo ties using tie slides, braided leather or non-leather cord and tips.

This is a highly customizable craft and once you've got a handle on tiny quilts, you'll likely find yourself making them into magnets, brooches, keychains, name tags, and so much more!
